Promotional Packaging

Newton Running found a solution to the age old shoe packaging problem. Instead of wasteful cardboard boxes filled with tissue paper, they worked hand in hand with several design companies to come up with a snug fitting shoe box. The design itself eliminates excessive use of materials but it’s also made entirely out of post-consumer materials (and recyclable!).
To top it off, Newton decided to eliminate paper stuffing entirely. Instead they stuffed each shoe with a reusable shoe bag and pair of socks. That way the product will stay looking sharp no matter how rough the shipping!
Now that’s what I call eco-friendly.

Zach | November 18, 2009I also agree that the current ways shoes are packaged are a waste with all the paper stuffed inside to hold the shoes shape along with the bulky cardboard box. Using recyclable material to package the shoe along with socks inside to help hold its shape is really a great idea!
